The Senior Boys volleyball team was a team many overlooked in 2014 as they only had two returning players. They overcame expectations, however, and placed second in their division with a 9-1 record. Unfortunately, in the city’s semifinals, they narrowly lost by 2 points in the fifth set, missing out on a berth in the city finals.

Nevertheless, they won the subsequent bronze medal game, earning the third and final spot at 4A provincials, where they had a solid finish. Chris Brunet showed his experience and expertise and led the team into their excellent placement. As the season went on, the entire team came together and improved as a group, with Max Behrman standing out as a particularly improved athlete.

Senior Boys volleyball head coach, Mr. Yee, stated that what lead his team to defy all expectations and do very well was their “teamwork and good chemistry”.
